Snake River Sporting Club hosts Pole Pedal Paddle

Snake River Sporting Club Sponsors 33rd Annual Pole Pedal Paddle Race in Jackson Hole

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. (April 3, 2008) – This Saturday, April 5th marks the 33rd annual Pole Pedal Paddle race at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Pole Pedal Paddle is a fundraising event benefiting the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable Alpine, Freeride, Nordic and Snowboard programs to Jackson Hole youth. For the fourth year in a row, Snake River Sporting Club is sponsoring the race, donating $4,000 to the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club to aid in the continuation of local ski programs for young athletes.

The four-part race is held annually on the last Saturday of skiing at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Contestants compete either individually or in teams through an alpine ski leg, a cross-country ski leg, a bicycle leg and a boating leg. This year, 250 teams from Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Montana and Idaho are expected to compete in the race beginning at Teton Village and culminating on the Snake River Sporting Club property.

The Pole Pedal Paddle after party has become the highlight of the event, drawing competitors, support crews, volunteers and members of the Jackson Hole community. Snake River Sporting Club is the sole sponsor of the party festivities, bringing an expected 500-600 race participants and Pole Pedal Paddle enthusiasts. Competition winners will be announced for all categories at the after party and guests will enjoy food and drinks provided by local business sponsors. Snake River Sporting Club looks forward to another great year sponsoring Pole Pedal Paddle and invites all to enjoy this festive Jackson Hole sporting tradition.
