Snake River Sporting Club Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Jackson Hole, a year-round resort town, is bursting with boutiques and fine dinning (understandable since Teton Country residents are among the wealthiest on earth-Dick Cheney, Charles Schwab, Harrison Ford and countless Fortune 500 CEO's call it home). IT is no coincidence that the town's airport, the only commercial airport in the nation located within a nation park, is jammed with private jets daily. In this regard, the Snake River Sporting Club has made private aviation a part of its lifestyle: IT is the only community of its kind with its own on-site heli-skiing operation. Residents can go from their homes to the property helipad and make turns on the fresh powder of the endless Snake River range within minutes.

ADDITION DIVERSIONS
If members want to tackle the steep slopes of Jackson Hole, the club has its own private slopeside lounge with valet parking at the resort. Other on-site facilities include a large equestrian center that connects directly to hundreds of miles of trails in the adjacent Bridger-Teton National Forest, which surrounds the property and ensures privacy from future development. There are archery and air rifle ranges, a natural hot spring, a full-time staff naturalist and tour leader, plus instruction in shooting, fishing, golf and abundant activities for children. Each winter a full cross-country skiing and dog sledding operation springs to life. The golf course is another Tom Weiskopf design with an isolated, primordial feel. With streams, three stocked trout ponds and frontage on the Snake River (one of the most famous fishing spots on earth), the club is an angler's delight, as well.

TOP HOMES
The centrally located Weiskopf designed course is mostly free of homes. The few that exist are large and built along the valley wall; 3,500- to 7,500-square-foot edifices occupy half- to five-acre lots. There are 130 homes sites throughout the club and 390 memberships, the balance of which will be sold to the local and national members. Lots range from $1.25 to $3 million.

GETTING THERE
Jackson Hole Airport is the closest airport to the Snake River Sporting Club for commercial and private flights. It is a 10-minute drive from the club.
