With its remarkable Tom Wieskopf designed course now open and ready to play, Snake River Sporting Club has further established itself as the premier club in Wyoming's Jackson Hole region.

"It is a wonderful course in a natural setting, right along the Snake River. It offers at least 13 holes from which you can see the river itself," says Steve Schram, chairman of DPS Sporting Club Development, LLC, which has carved out a reputation as one of the finest developers of first-class sporting club communities in some of the world's most desirable locations, including the Turk & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay in the British West Indies, The Greenbrier Sporting Club in West Virginia, Deep Water Cay in the Bahamas and the Ford Plantation in Georgia. "Tom told us it is his best course to date. It's a course that will definitely stand the test of time and turn out to be one of the top courses in the country. Challenging, yes, but extremely fun."
Another new amenity for owners- the Teton Village Mountain Lodge- was recently purchased by the Snake River Sporting Club to provide its members the opportunity to enjoy the best skiing Wyoming has to offer.
"The Mountain Lodge gives our members their own private, on-mountain, ski-in ski-out club," says Schram. "It is very reminiscent of a European setting with a restaurant/bar and a spacious deck for having a meal or enjoying the scenery. And it's all right at the fifty-yard line of Teton Village, no more than 50 yards from the ski tram."
Located just 17 miles south of Jackson, Snake River Sporting Club's 554 acres lie amid the largest intact temperate ecosystem in the continental United Sates- an 18 million-acre area that includes Grand Teton National Park, Bridger-Teton National Forest and Yellow Stone National Park. Members can enjoy fine dinning in the private lodge and a proposed state-of-the-art fitness center comes complete with its own squash courts. The club's proposed spa will be built near the Snake River so members can enjoy the benefit of several of its warm springs. The club's ranch center will provide endless opportunities for members to enjoy day long trail rides into the neighboring terrain or overnight pack trips.
An on-site naturalist is on hand to provide expert insight into the area's flora and fauna, which include more than 60 species of mammals and more than 100 species of birds. And with more than six miles of the Snake River running through the club, anglers will have a prime opportunity for catching native cutthroat trout or seven other species of game fish. To cast well off the path, the club's knowledgeable guides can take members to secret spots in the nearby wilderness.
Come winter, the area is a premier skiing destination. With an average annual snowfall of 400 inches and prevailing low humidity, the region's dry "cowboy powder" attracts skiers looking for the very best conditions at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski area, which has the longest continuous vertical rise of any ski area in the United States. Or, members can take the helicopter service on property and fly to the nearby backcountry for adventurous heliskiing outings on pristine powdery slopes.
Snake River Sporting Club is proud to offer equity club memberships. About 25 home sites remain in the club's initial offering, with property on the the golf course and with Snake River views. A second offering will be released in the summer of 2007.
