Planning and Design; SRSC received unanimous approval and has now completed Plating and HUD approvals for the seven Lodge Cabin sites just across Martin Creek from the Members’ Lodge. The Lodge Cabin designs have been completed by Poss Architects of Aspen, Colorado and will be constructed starting this summer by Teton Heritage Builders of Jackson. The Lodge Cabins are now available for purchase. The focus this season is to complete all utilities, roadwork and common area landscape improvements on the Southern Parcel this summer. In addition, there should be a temporary structure going up at the Ranch Center that will house all of the golf and road maintenance equipment for this season while the primary facilities are under construction later this summer. This will allow us to remove the hay barn near the southern entry and begin to clean up this construction staging area. The horse pastures will be re-graded, seeded and new fencing put in place. The Members’ Lodge is well underway with foundations nearing completion. You should start to see initial framing in the next 60 days as the vertical structure starts to take shape.
The Saw Pit eagle's nest has two new hatchlings- which is great news- and we are monitoring these throughout the construction season to minimize any potential impacts to their growth. Completion of the Martin Creek trout habitat improvements are also anticipated later this spring as well as the Trumpeter Pond habitat areas near the Ranch Center. The three trout ponds and their associated wetland habitat is scheduled to be completed by mid-summer for everyone’s use. This area will also be cleaned into a more passive recreation area consistent with its long history of use.
Continuing meetings and work sessions are occurring between SRSC and Teton County on Phase II planning approvals and these will continue through the spring months, including several public hearings on our requested improvements to this area starting in early May. The Phase II areas to the north of the property include the final designs for the spa, fitness center, environmental learning center, trout house and improvements to the Historic Astoria Hot Springs pool area. To date there has been no major opposition or comments that were not anticipated in our application and processing for final approvals.
